Lautan Luas (LTLS) Subsidiary Inaugurates Solar Energy Use to Support Energy Transition in East Java

Jakarta, August 6, 2025 — PT Lautan Luas Tbk (IDX:LTLS), an integrated chemical solutions and raw materials provider with 74 years of experience across three business sectors—manufacturing, chemical distribution, and support services—through its subsidiary in basic chemical manufacturing, officially launched a solar panel system. The system consists of 171 panels with a capacity of 113.7 kWp at its production facility in Gresik, East Java. This initiative is part of the company’s commitment to supporting the transition to clean energy and addressing emissions challenges in the manufacturing sector, which currently accounts for 32.49 percent[1] of national emissions.

Eurike Hadijaya, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and ESG Manager at PT Lautan Luas Tbk, stated, “This renewable energy initiative is part of our long-term strategy to ensure sustainable and efficient operations. We believe that implementing environmentally friendly technology not only has a positive impact on the environment and the future but also creates added value for all stakeholders.”

The solar panel system is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 141.5 tons per year, which is equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of 3,648 trees over one year. This step is part of the company’s decarbonization strategy applied across its entire operational chain.

Lautan Luas consistently integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its business activities. In July 2025, two entities within the company group received awards from the government for their contributions to green industry and environmental management, recognizing their long-term commitment to responsible business practices.

“This move reinforces the Lautan Luas Group’s commitment to prioritizing ESG principles, especially the environmental aspect. We believe that the clean energy transition is an important part of the future of industry, and it must go hand in hand with sustainable business growth,” concluded Eurike.
