Lautan Luas established Indonesia’s first privately owned sulfuric acid production plant in 1969, signaling its commitment to quality manufacturing. Then in the 1970s, the Company seized on the opportunity offered by the country’s rapid industrialization, and expanded its distribution and manufacturing capabilities with a focus on specialty chemicals. Lautan Luas currently operates twelve manufacturing facilities in Indonesia and two in China.
