Home Bettering Your World
Every step we take is designed to contribute to people, industries, and a better tomorrow.
For over 15 years at PT Lautan Luas Tbk, Phang Po Tjai has been known not only as a dedicated employee, but
also as someone who has consistently donated blood
every three months for more than a decade. “As long as I’m healthy, I will keep donating,” he said.
For him, a single bag of blood can save a life—and that alone is reason enough to keep giving. Without saying much, he exemplifies how real impact doesn’t always come from grand gestures. What matters is
consistency and sincerity.
This spirit aligns with the value of Bettering Your World, where change can begin with small, sustained
actions. Through Mr. Po Tjai’s example, we are
reminded that meaningful contribution doesn’t have
to come from a big stage—it can begin with everyday
acts of care: one drop, one intention, one action that
saves a life.
PT Lautan Luas Tbk marked its 74th anniversary on July 13, 2025. To commemorate this milestone, a series of celebrations began in mid-July with various internal tournaments, including talent shows, e-sports, and sports competitions. These activities brought together employees from across the Lautan Luas Group, providing a space to connect and celebrate the company’s long journey.
The main celebration took place on July 25, 2025, filled with a spirit of family and unity. Retired employees were also invited to participate by opening booths at a bazaar, allowing them to stay connected and contribute meaningfully. Social initiatives engaged employees in collecting toys, books, and stationery for children in need.
This celebration was more than just an annual event—it reflected the culture of Lautan Luas, where employees are not only seen as a vital part of the company, but as the driving force behind every step toward a better future.
As part of its efforts to support plastic waste reduction, in 2023 Lautan Luas collaborated with EcoBlock to build two schools in Kampung Lautan Luas, Margamulya Village, Mauk, using 808 units of EcoBlock. EcoBlock is a modular building material made from recycled non-organic plastic waste, designed to replace conventional bricks. In addition to being strong and durable, EcoBlock is environmentally friendly as it helps reduce the amount of plastic waste ending up in landfills or the ocean. This initiative successfully diverted approximately 6 tons of plastic waste and absorbed up to 13 tons of CO₂ emissions.
More than just building schools, this program reflects Lautan Luas’ commitment and reinforces the company’s active role in promoting sustainable development. Lautan Luas is not only constructing facilities, but also building the future—a safe place for children to learn and grow, and a cleaner environment for the next generation.
This initiative is a tangible manifestation of Lautan Luas’ vision to continually be part of the solution—not only in the industrial world, but also in creating a broader positive impact for society and the environment.
Lautan Luas developed Kampung Lautan Luas as an integrated community empowerment program in Margamulya Village, Mauk, Tangerang Regency. As of 2024, the program has successfully built 70 decent homes, 7 schools, and provided 7 clean water facilities. All infrastructure is designed to support a healthy, safe, and sustainable living environment for the local community.
More than just physical development, Kampung Lautan Luas embodies the spirit of collaboration between the company and the local community. This program is a concrete manifestation of Lautan Luas’ commitment to creating a positive and long-term social impact, in line with the company’s spirit: Bettering Your World.
As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, Lautan Luas consistently runs coastal ecosystem rehabilitation programs through mangrove planting. In 2024, the company planted 10,000 mangrove trees in Kampung Lautan Luas, Mauk, Banten—a development area designed as a model for sustainable living. This program not only expands green spaces but also helps absorb carbon emissions, prevent coastal erosion, and support marine biodiversity. The initiative reflects Lautan Luas’ concrete steps in addressing climate change and creating long-term impact for coastal environments.
This commitment continues in 2025 with the planting of another 10,000 mangrove trees along the coast of Semarang. The program is carried out in collaboration with Komunitas Kenari, a local group actively involved in planting, maintenance, and environmental education in the conservation area. The initiative has also gained recognition and support from the Environmental and Forestry Office (DLHK) of Central Java Province, and will be continuously monitored through 2028 to ensure its effectiveness and impact.
Through a collaborative and community-based approach, Lautan Luas strengthens its role as an industry player that not only cares about the environment but is also committed to empowering coastal communities.
PT Lautan Air Indonesia once again demonstrated its commitment to the environment and togetherness through the “Green Care Day” program held on May 5, 2025. The event, which took place at PT Lautan Air Indonesia’s field, was part of the HSE Week 2025 agenda and was attended by all employees. The activities began with an opening ceremony, marking the start of a collective action to care for the environment surrounding the company.
The Green Care Day activities included cleaning the garden, loosening the soil, and fertilizing using compost processed internally by the company. This initiative not only aims to make a positive contribution to environmental sustainability but also serves as an important moment to strengthen bonds among employees. For PT Lautan Air Indonesia, it is a small yet meaningful step for the planet, in line with the company’s vision of creating “A Better World Through What We Do.”
PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo (LNK) organized the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Program, an annual initiative carried out in various strategic locations such as schools, village halls, and the PT LNK Hall. This program aims to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and support the quality of life for affected individuals. It includes public education, health screenings, treatment, and support services for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), involving cross-sector collaboration ranging from government agencies and educational institutions to healthcare professionals and local communities.
In addition to raising awareness about HIV transmission and prevention, LNK also promotes the use of contraceptives and facilitates access to testing and antiretroviral (ARV) therapy. Furthermore, psychosocial support, rehabilitation, and policy advocacy are integrated as part of a comprehensive approach to tackling the issue. This initiative reflects the Company’s commitment to “Bettering Your World,” particularly in enhancing the health and well-being of the surrounding communities.
As part of its commitment to improving employees’ quality of life, PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo has launched the “Healthy Eating for Employees” program, which will run from February to December 2025. This initiative targets all employees and will be held once a month within the company premises. The program aims to cultivate healthy eating habits as part of a healthy and productive lifestyle in the workplace.
By regularly providing healthy meal options, the company emphasizes that a healthy lifestyle is not solely dependent on physical activity, but also on balanced nutritional intake. It is hoped that this habit will inspire employees to adopt similar practices in their daily lives. This initiative reflects PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo’s concrete steps toward realizing Bettering Your World, starting with the well-being of its human resources as the company’s most valuable asset.
