PT Lautan Luas Tbk (IDX: LTLS), a leading provider of integrated ingredients and solution provider with three business sectors—manufacturing, chemical distribution, and supporting and services—in Indonesia with 74 years of experience, inaugurated a connecting bridge to the Budi Dharma Public Cemetery (TPU) in Semper, North Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/10).
The initiative is part of the company’s commitment to providing solutions that have a positive impact on the community through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
The new bridge was constructed to facilitate citizen access, especially for ambulances, which were previously hampered by the condition of the old wooden bridge, which often caused residents to fall into the river.
Now, with the sturdy and safer concrete bridge, residents can cross comfortably. This infrastructure has become a vital access point for the community in Cilincing District, especially for the more than 4,400 residents in RW 010 who use the route daily.
The inauguration was attended by representatives of PT Lautan Luas Tbk management, along with the Deputy Head of Cilincing Sub-district Salih Novrianysah, Head of Semper Timur Village Tien Septimar, local community unit (RT and RW) officials, and representatives of the North Jakarta City Council.
“This bridge is not merely infrastructure; it is a symbol of collaboration and a tangible manifestation of the company’s vision, ‘A Better World through What We Do,’ where we aim to create a better world for the community and the environment. We hope this facility can enhance safety and provide easy access for the people in Semper Timur,” said Commercial Director of PT Lautan Luas Tbk, Soewandhi Soekamto.
A local resident and member of the PKK (Family Welfare Movement), Midah, also expressed her gratitude for this assistance.
“With the bridge from Lautan Luas, access to the TPU and the ambulance route is now much easier. Previously, we often faced difficulties during emergencies. Now, everything is safer and faster.”
